Tracey J. Shaffer, O.D.

Dr. Shaffer was born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania. While in high school, she was active in band, cheerleading, and softball. LaterDr.Shaffer she attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania as a mathematics major, where she remained active in the marching and concert bands. After 3 years there, Dr. Shaffer transferred to Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where she entered the accelerated optometric program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Optometry degree in 1995, and her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997. During her internship, she completed rotations at Montrose VA Hospital in Montrose, NY, Quantico Naval Hospital at the Quantico Marine Base in Quantico, VA, and Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.


After graduation, Dr. Shaffer moved to Hampton Roads area, where she has practiced for over 10 years. She currently resides in Chesapeake with her husband, 4 dogs, and 1 cat.
